食品伙伴网导读:2009年7月21日,英国莫里森公司召回一批其自有品牌的多味鸡肉产品(Sweet and Sour Battered Chicken),原因是该产品中含有芝麻和大豆而未在其包装中标识出。
原文报道:
Morrisons has withdrawn some of its own-brand Sweet and Sour Battered Chicken, because there is a problem with the packaging on one batch of Chicken Chow Mein. This means that one date code of the Sweet and Sour Battered Chicken contains the Chicken Chow Mein, which contains sesame and soya, which are not mentioned on the product label.
This makes the mislabelled Chicken Chow Mein a possible health risk for anyone who is allergic or sensitive to sesame or soya. The Agency has issued an Allergy Alert advising anyone with an allergy or sensitivity to sesame or soya not to eat this product.
Product details
The withdrawn product is:
- Morrisons Frozen Sweet and Sour Battered Chicken, 500g
- Best before end: June 2010
- Batch code: 9159
The company has withdrawn the affected product from sale and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their members of the withdrawal.
No other Morrisons products are known to be affected.
Allergy alerts
Sometimes there will be a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold. Then it might be 'withdrawn' (taken off the shelves) or 'recalled' (when customers are asked to return the product). Sometimes foods have to be withdrawn or recalled if there is a risk to consumers because the allergy labelling is missing or incorrect or if there is any other food allergy risk.
In such situations the Agency will issue an Allergy Alert. It is also possible to subscribe to an email alert system to receive automatic messages whenever Allergy Alerts are issued. Click on 'Get alerts' in the box at the bottom of this page to find more details.
You can get details of all the latest allergy alerts as soon as they're issued by getting the details sent as a SMS text message direct to your mobile phone.
To sign up to this free service, simply send the text message 'START ALLERGY' to the number 62372. To unsubscribe, just text 'STOP ALLERGY' to the same number.
You can also subscribe to our Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feed for food and allergy alerts.
