2008年2月15日，美国环保署宣布对特丁硫磷(Terbufos)等杀虫剂拟定许可限量措施。
环保署拟修订杀虫剂特丁硫磷(Terbufos)(phosphorodithioic acid, S-(t-butylthio)methylO,O- diethyl ester)及其磷酸化(cholinesterase-inhibiting)代谢物(phosphorothioic acid, S-(t-butylthio) methyl O,O-diethyl ester; phosphorothioic acid, S-(t-butylsulfinyl)methyl O,O-diethyl ester; phosphoro thioic acid, S-(t-butylsulfonyl)methyl O,O-diethyl ester; phosphorodithioic acid, S-(t-butylsul finyl)methyl O,O-diethyl ester;及phosphorodithioic acid, S-(t-butylsulfonyl)methyl O,O- diethyl ester)混合残留的限量表达式。
环保署拟修订特丁硫磷(Terbufos)及其抑制性胆碱脂酶代谢物混合残留限量的项目表达式如下：玉米谷粒改为田玉米谷粒及爆米花玉米粒；高粱草料改为高粱谷草料；高梁谷改为高粱谷谷粒。取消爆米花玉米草料。
该措施属拟定法规，以后是否会采取进一步措施尚不肯定。
